Guest Post | Creating Memories in Cancun

Cancun is a versatile and great all-around holiday venue whether you’re looking for a fun-filled family vacation or a relaxing romantic getaway. With fabulous sunshine and the warmest of welcomes, you’ll be off to a winning start and this is even before you’ve sampled the array of sports activities and the nonstop party nightlife on offer.

The hotels in Cancun are mainly located in the aptly named ‘hotel zone’. It’s a seventeen-mile stretch of beach with the clearest Caribbean Sea on one side and the Nichupte Lagoon on the other, meaning wherever you stay you’ll have a fantastic sea view. Three-quarters of the hotels in Cancun are five stars rated which go some way to measuring the brilliance of Mexican hospitality. However, if you’re looking for bargain package holidays, this is well catered for too - with plenty of great value options along the coast and in the downtown area.

Cancun is especially wonderful for weddings. With powdery white beaches, turquoise seas, a baby blue sky and of course the year-round sunshine it makes a magnificent setting. The exceptional service will make your day as perfect as you can expect.

If you’re looking for a family holiday then there’s certainly something to suit everyone in Cancun. Watersports, mountain biking, jungle jeep drives or sunbathing, there is plenty to keep children and adults alike busy until the sun goes down, then it’s off to get the dancing shoes on. Nightlife is something that Mexicans have got down to a ‘T’. Live bands and vibrant bars are full of color and life. Many venues are open until the early hours so you can dance the night away or simply relax with friends, as there are bars, restaurants, cafes, and clubs for all moods and occasions.

One thing’s for sure, a holiday in Cancun is a definitely worth the trip.

Aside from my day job, I love photography and storytelling. Going places--be it a cliche destination or the far side of the road--stoke and free my soul. I dig deeper into the people’s psyche, culture and ethnicity, and heritage. I love to observe how they thrive and build social institutions, preserve their culture and traditions.
